Teen intruders hold Toowoomba woman hostage

BREAKING: A Toowoomba woman was taken hostage by two male intruders who forced their way into her home early this morning.

The 19-year-old Rockville woman had been asleep when the intruders entered her Evon St home and demanded she drive them to an ATM at a nearby shopping centre about 5.25am.

They had initially demanded she hand over cash before forcing her to drive them to Wilsonton Shopping Centre.

The woman complied with demands she withdraw money before driving the pair to the intersection of Risson and Jason Sts.

The pair then left the vehicle and fled on foot with a sum of cash, the woman's handbag, wallet and other personal items.

The two men are both described as teenagers.

The woman was not physically injured, and police investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
