Is there rain heading our way?

SELF-ISOLATION doesn’t seem so bad on a day like today, with the dark clouds setting the mood for a cup of tea and a movie marathon.

However, the Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that the dark clouds will be short lived, eventually passing before the weekend is out.

Meteorologist Alex Majchrowski said Dalby will receive a light shower throughout the weekend with a possible thunderstorm between Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

“Unfortunately the clouds don’t seem to have too much in them and they will disappear before the end of the weekend,” he said.

“A total of around 5mm of rain is expected but not much more than that.

“The clouds will move east by Sunday afternoon before eventually moving offshore.”

Mr Majchrowski also confirmed that temperatures will slowly drop in the coming weeks.

“In the next week residents will notice a cooler change with temperatures not expected to get any higher than 27 degrees.

“The evenings will also start to drop significantly at around eight degrees.”
