Jimbour put the 'fun' in fundraiser with classic bush dance

WHEN Melbourne locals Mary and Robert Heritage took on the trip of a lifetime travelling from Melbourne all the way through country Queensland, the Jimbour State School bush dance fundraiser was, admittedly, probably not on the agenda.

But their adventure through the "back streets” of Queensland brought them to the tiny town, brought to life by a classic bush dance held by the school and its twelve students.

The lure of a traditional country dance, a barbecue, and seeing a community band together was too much for them to miss it.

There were nothing but smiles on the faces of everyone who walked through the doors of Jimbour Memorial Hall to fundraise for Jimbour State School and the Jimbour Sport and Rec Committee.

As the Band O'Coots provided music, kids and adults took to the dance floor all in the name of fundraising.
