Kevin’s Corner coal mine trial continues

BORES and graphs were at the centre of the fourth day of the trial between Central Queensland landholders and mining company GVK Hancock over the proposed Kevin's Corner mine.

Landholders and environmental groups are opposing the mine in the Queensland Land Court and groundwater is one of the trial's main focuses.

On Thursday the lawyers went through various pieces of evidence including bore water reports and analysed several graphs.

Central Queensland grazier Bruce Currie is a landholder representing himself at the trial and is concerned the Kevin's Corner mine will destroy his property's groundwater.

The trial is expected to continue until the end of next week.
