IF YOU'RE peckish enough for Maccas, create your own burger is on the menu today at the Musgrave St restaurant.

If you're really craving the golden arches experience, you could order a McJob application on the side as well.

Marc Smoorenburg, the McDonald's franchisee of the Musgrave St restaurant, was still looking to hire about 10 more people following the launch of Create Your Taste several weeks ago.

The new Maccas' initiative, designed to let the customers make their own choice of meal, was being introduced today at his restaurant.

He said the initiative allowed customers to have more of a say into what they wanted, and now included gluten-free options.

More than 155 jobs have already been created in the Rockhampton region since the introduction of Create Your Taste. And the McDonald's restaurants were still looking to hire another 20 to 30 people.

New employees are required for a variety of newly created front-of-house and kitchen roles at McDonald's Rockhampton, Gracemere, Yeppoon, Glenmore, Rockhampton North and Rockhampton Stockland.

Mr Smoorenburg said with the launch of the digital kiosks and new menu there would be greater investment in the region.

"With increased capital expenditure and wage costs, McDonald's is placing significant investment into the local community," he said.
