Lions take their pride to the green

WHEN asked what the members of the Lions Club love most about their pride, the resounding answer was the friendships made in the club, and their ability to do good for the community.

Those two elements came together perfectly on the green for their annual charity golf day.

It was a day of success both on and off the green, with plenty of money raised and some outstanding results from the players.

Neil Hedge walked away from the competition with the top prize of the day, the Perpetual Trophy, with a final score of 46, while Brian Stringer locked in second place overall. Jan Macmaw won in the ladies division, with Desley Rose coming in as runner up.
