LNP promises to boost Warrego economy by $8.5m if elected

UP TO $8.5 million will be injected into the Warrego electorate through the LNP’s car registration rebate if they’re elected to power.

The announcement earlier this month by opposition leader Deb Frecklington peaked the interest of Queenslanders, with the promised rebate slated to arrive just before Christmas.

Warrego MP Ann Leahy said this would help kickstart the economy and make Queenslanders better off.

“We’re coming into the most expensive time of year and this rebate will help create jobs and take the pressure off Queenslanders when they need it most,” she said.

“There are over 14,000 homes with cars in the Warrego electorate.

“Not to mention the families with more than one car or local businesses that own multiple vehicles.”

Mrs Leahy said the $300 rebate will “inject up to $8.5 million” in the Warrego electorate, to give the economy a boost following the election.

“State Labor Governments hiked car registration by $120, a move that hit regional car owners hard,” she said.

“Your chance to change the government is on October 31st, to help get Queensland working again with this rego rebate.”
