Macca goes out a winner, Diehards tame Tigers

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Diehards significantly improved their for-and-against in their victory over Souths Tigers.

Dalby never looked threatened in their 80-10 win, maintaining third spot on the TRL ladder.

In his final game, Brenton McMillan scored two tries and kicked five goals.

James Lawton was an attacking weapon for the Diehards, scoring three tries.

Dalby scored with their first possession of the ball, and had a 12-point lead inside four minutes.

The forward pack were dominant up the middle, while fullback Corey Blades had one of his best games since returning to the club.

Diehards coach Derek Brady said he was pleased his side was able to win by the 70-point margin.

"Very happy with the first half performance, 56-nil at half time, we stuck to our structures," Brady said.

"The game was good for our for-and-against, and we will move onto Oakey next week."
