Man faces court over 2.5L of Fantasy drug

A GOLD Coast man police claim had $13,000 in cash and $12,000 worth of the drug Fantasy when pulled over in Goondiwindi has appeared in Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Police claim 36-year-old Trent Russell Ford tested positive to a road-side drug test when pulled over in Marshall St, Goondiwindi, about 3.30am Sunday.

During a subsequent search of his vehicle, police claim about 2.5 litres of Fantasy were found.

Ford appeared in custody on charges of driving while under the influence of a drug, possessing a restricted drug, possession of dangerous drugs, possessing drug related utensils and two counts of possessing things used in the commission of a crime.

He was not required to enter any pleas to the charges.

There was no application for bail.

Magistrate Bruce Schemioneck remanded Ford in custody to Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on May 13.
