Senior speedster, 92, accused of hooning in golf buggy
A FEISTY elderly man has denied accusations of speeding in his golf buggy through a gated community on the Gold Coast.
Humphrey Firkins, 92, told Nine News he was pulled over by police after he was caught allegedly driving at 24km/h through the estate.
"Police said: 'We will arrest you, we will confiscate your buggy, and you'll go to jail'," Mr Firkins told reporter Sam Cucchiara.
"I held my hands out like this and said: 'C'mon, arrest me'. He wouldn't do it and I said: 'You haven't got the guts!'"
