Man allegedly flees scene of drunken crash in Dalby

AN ALLEGEDLY drunk Varsity Lakes man left the scene of an accident after he crashed into another car driven by an elderly man.

A Queensland Police spokesman said two vehicles collided at the corner of Pratten and Patrick St about 4.30pm on Monday, November 23.

Police will allege the 30-year-old Varsity Lakes man failed to remain at the incident to render assistance.

He was charged with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while adversely affected, driving over the middle alcohol limit, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident to render assistance.

He will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on December 15.

The 81-year-old man driving the other vehicle was shaken after the crash, but did not require transport to hospital.
