Man arrested after defecating in hospital's ED hallway

A DRUG-AFFECTED man undergoing treatment at a hospital emergency department has been charged after allegedly defecating and urinating in a hallway.

Dalby police were called to an alleged incident at the Dalby Hospital about 8pm Saturday where a man, 51, was seeking treatment.

Police will allege the man was under the influence of an "unknown substance" when he defecated and urinated in an emergency department hallway.

The man was arrested and taken to the Dalby watch house where he was charged with public nuisance and wilful damage.

He was given watch house bail and is due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court next month.
