Man arrested after disturbance, fleeing police

A 31-YEAR-OLD man will stay behind bars for at least a week after being arrested on multiple charges on Monday.

Dalby police said they responded to a disturbance on O'Keefe St at 3.30pm on Monday, where the 31-year-old was allegedly "causing a scene”.

A Dalby police spokesman said the man was acting aggressively and was arrested, however he managed to break free from offices.

Police then used tasers, but the 31-year-old managed to flee.

Police allege he then returned to his house and hid in the ceiling until police convinced him to come down.

He appeared in the Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with eight offences including two counts of serious assault.

The case was adjourned, and he will remain in custody until his next court appearance on September 18.
