Man arrested over $57,000 theft from business

A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested by Moranbah detectives; the man allegedly defrauded a business of $57,500.

Police said the arrest came after a long investigation.

Police allege the man, who they arrested in Collinsville on Tuesday, fraudulently submitted time sheets after his employment had been terminated.

The offender has been released on watchhouse bail to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on February 21.
