Man escapes major injury after car rolls into cotton field

A MAN avoided serious injury following a single vehicle crash just west of Jimbour on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 7.30-8pm after a passing motorist noticed the crash.

The driver is believed to have veered off the road and rolled several time before landing in a cotton field.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There were no other vehicles or passengers involved.
