Floyd Mayweather hangs gloves out for Braydon Smith

TRIBUTES to Toowoomba boxer Braydon Smith have gone global with undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather the latest to pay his respects.

Stanthorpe man Scott Chapman is currently overseas and he visited the Mayweather Gym in Los Vegas.

"Respect to them as once they heard (about) Braydon's story they gladly hung some gloves out the front of the gym," he wrote online.

"You were a legend mate and always will be."

Smith's brother Tanner Smith wrote that the gesture was appreciated.

"Floyd was Braydon's favourite fighter. Brayd would be over the moon. Thanks Scotty."

Professional boxer Anthony Mundine has also paid tribute to Smith, writing on Twitter: "Such sad news to hear about the passing of Braydon Smith. Prayers and thoughts to family and friends."

Tributes to Smith have been posted to Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #hangyourglovesout.
