Meet the Devils U16s chasing history

Rugby league: Dalby Devils president Tim Hart has given an insight into each player who will run out in a Devils jumper tomorrow in the U16s TJRL grand final.

If the team win the decider, it will be the first time an U16s Devils team has won the premiership.

The Devils won their grand final qualifying game 46-0 last weekend against Valleys.

The Devils are taking on Souths in the big dance, with the match to be played at Clive Berghofer Stadium in Toowoomba.

Kick-off is 3.20pm Saturday.

1. Dalean Rolls- Fullback

Talented returner of the football with the smarts of a half. Defends very well whether up in the line or as last line of defence.

2. Russian Nisperos- Winger

Great finisher who doesn't mind the hard stuff. Is battling an ankle injury and may be a late withdrawal.

3. Brayden Tate- Centre

Strong in both defence and attack. Will be a handful for the Souths defence when given the opportunity.

4. Kristian Bond- Centre

Very elusive runner of the football with good hands who can link with his support runners.

5. Ryan Welsh- Winger

Strong, fast and powerful. Once he's through the defensive line, he won't be stopped.

6. Joshua Chappell- Five-Eight

Very classy footballer. Brilliant in attack but doesn't mind getting his hands dirty in defence as well. It's no wonder the Parramatta Eels have him tied up.

7. David Woodbridge- Halfback

New to the Devils this year and has been a very good pickup. Great passing and kicking game and can do something special when required.

8. Blake Jackson- Front Row

Followed his mate Woody to the Devils. Hard working forward who starts the Dalby sets off on the front foot.

9. Max Brady - Hooker

One of the Devils Co-Captain who plays a very aggressive defensive role for the Devils, but has the silky skills out of dummy half to get Dalby on a roll.

10. Drew Williams- Front Row

Dalby's wrecking ball. Built low to the ground but very powerful. Makes plenty of yards up the middle and causes damage in defence.

11. Sam Gillespie- Second Row

Dalby's other Co-Captain, shows great leadership for the team and very dangerous out wide on the edges running great lines for his halves.

12. Trent Cuzens- Second Row

Powerful runner of the football, who's covering defence gets Dalby out of trouble.

13. Lachlan Wilkins- Lock

Hard working forward who does a mountain of defensive work.

14. Cory Salter- Interchange

Very versatile player who will find himself anywhere where the team needs him. From Front Row to Centre, Cory will get the job done.

15. Bailey Roberts - Interchange

Fabulous finisher and very elusive, will find himself starting on the wing if Russian is ruled out.

16. Keanu Wright-Dunrobin - Interchange

Under 15 player who will make the step up. Great runner of the football and can pull of some freaky plays. Represented QLD U15 this year and won't be out of place.

17. Jovyn Johnston- Interchange

Another U15 player stepping up. Powerful forward who is hard to stop. Will be a welcome addition to the side to give his fellow forwards a rest.
