A CUNNAMULLA grazier is putting his heart on his sleeve, in hopes of finding love on the small screen.

Alex Taylor, referred to as Farmer Alex, the 28-year-old sheep and cattle man has entered the revived dating show Farmer Wants a Wife.

After very little luck dating in-person and on dating apps, Mr Taylor is hopeful of finding 'the girl of his dreams' on the show.

"I've never been in love before - it definitely scares me a bit though; I'd hate to go through a whole life not falling in love and not finding that special person," he said.

"I'm looking for a girl that is interested in being on the farm, and being out here with me; and someone who is confident and can say 'yeah, I am beautiful exactly how I am'."

With hopes of having a big, happy family, Farmer Alex is after a woman who shares his dream.

"I want a whole tribe of barefoot, grubby, snotty kids and I'm going to love them to death,' My Taylor said.

"I am looking for someone who can keep me company and has the same values as me around friends and family; I am fiercely loyal to my loved ones and I hope I can find a partner who has the same feelings."

When he's not busy on the farm, Alex enjoys travel, having visited more than 30 countries (his favourites were Greece, Germany, and Canada) and picking up a little bit of German along the way.

He's also a music buff, with plenty of visits to Splendour in the Grass under his belt, and a playlist filled with indie rock and grunge bands.

The ideal partner for Alex will be someone who is a bit of a comedian, and loves to have a lot of fun.

"I'm into the type of woman that I have a lot in common with and I could see as my best friend," Mr Taylor said.

"I certainly want to find her attractive, but what I really want is someone who shares my interests, who is level-headed and is fun with a great sense of humour."

Farmer Alex is one of six Aussie farmers to feature on the upcoming series, and one of two from Queensland.

Applications for women to join the show and date one of the farmers have now opened, and can be found at farmerwantsawife.com.au.
