Missing Logan pair stuffed in metal box, shot dead
Police suspect a drug debt was behind the alleged murders of missing Logan pair Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru, who they believe were stuffed in a metal box, shot dead and dumped in a dam on the night of January 24.
Two bodies were found in a box pulled from the dam in Kingston, in Logan's south, on Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed.
The remains are yet to be formally identified but are believed to be those Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru.
The pair reportedly had their mouths gaffer-taped, were bashed and stuffed in the metal box where Mr Breton was allegedly stabbed in the leg.
The box was then placed on the back of a ute and driven to the dam Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru were shot, reportedly in the head.
Extensive forensic examination of the crime scene was undertaken before the box was removed from the dam.
Five men, aged between 21 and 31, and a 36-year-old mother-of-seven have been charged over the double murder.
