Moranbah woman to appear in court over drugs charges

A 44-YEAR-OLD Moranbah woman is the subject of several drug related charges after being spoken to by Mirani police at Berriwerri Cattle Creek Road, Gargett, on January 30.

It's alleged that officers spoke with the female when she was with her vehicle at this location.

She was subsequently detained for a search, during the search officers located what is believed to be methylamphetamine, ecstasy and also pharmaceutical tablets.

The female has been served with a notice to appear at the Mackay Magistrates Court on February 18 to have charges of possessing dangerous drugs, possession of utensils that had been used in connection with a dangerous drug and possessing restricted drugs heard.
