More than 100,000 SE QLD residents without power
MORE than 100,000 south-east Queensland properties are without power tonight and the news on restoration of services is not good.
High winds have bought down power lines across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Noosa, Gympie, Moreton Bay and Redland City areas in particular.
More than 34,000 remain without power on the Sunshine Coast.
Brisbane City has more than 28,000 without electricity while thousands more are expected to be left without power on the Gold Coast as the remnants of ex-tropical cyclone Debbie hit the region.
As of about 9pm, more than 7400 were without power in Logan City.
Moreton Bay Regional council area had 9140 out, a figure topped by Noosa with 9416.

An Energex spokesperson told News Corp on Thursday night that crews' efforts in restoring power were being hampered by a lack of access.
Some roads were cut off, flooded, while debris and other hazards on the roads meant they simply could not get in to restore power.
Many areas on the Sunshine Coast may not get power restored until late tomorrow.
The power outage page for Energex lists 5.30pm on Friday as a likely time for the restoration of services for many Sunshine Coast suburbs.
Energex spokesman John Cannon said crews would work through the night but there were "major safety concerns".
"The big problem we have is getting access into some of these places," he said.
"As you can appreciate there's a lot of debris and flood water.
"We're confident we can start to have an impact on that number (of outages) probably into tomorrow and throughout the day.
