More rain on the way this weekend

DALBY has another wet weekend ahead of it, as showers and possible thunderstorms are forecast until Tuesday.

The heaviest falls are expected on Sunday and Monday, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting an 80-90 per cent chance of rain.

A bureau spokesman said Dalby was not expected to catch the most amount of rain.

"Their is a fair bit of tropical moisture around the state, and Dalby is just on the edge of the rain area,” he said.

"This weekend we are looking for a few showers and possible storms.”

Dalby has had more than 100mm of rain in the last fortnight, according to the bureau, which had lead to some roads being cut off.

The rain is expected to have mostly cleared by Wednesday.
