More rain to come as heatwave ends in the region

DALBY received much needed rain overnight, and more is expected to come today.

Yesterday's storms brought an end to the heatwave in the region, with Dalby receiving 66mm of rain since 9am yesterday.

Harry Clark from the Bureau of Meteorology said Dalby could expect rain all day.

"It will be quite wet and cooler than what we have experienced in recent days," Mr Clark said.

"There will be thunderstorms on and off for the rest of the day, as well as patchy rain."

The bureau has forecast a maximum temperature of 27 degrees today.

Light rain is possible form the rest of the week, with day time temperatures expected to remain in the mid-20s according to the bureau.
