QLD and NSW homes still with faulty cabling despite recall

MORE than 2500 homes across Queensland and New South Wales could still have faulty electrical cabling despite a recall nearly two years ago.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has urged homeowners in both states to check if they have Infinity cabling installed, if the work was done between 2010 and 2013 in NSW and 2012 and 2013 in Queensland.

If unsure, homeowners are advised to use a qualified electrician to inspect the property.

A full replacement of the cables will be covered by the supplier.
