Motorbike rider in collision with car on Sunshine Coast

A 20-YEAR-OLD motorcycle rider has suffered serious internal injuries in a collision with a car on the Sunshine Coast overnight.

Police said they were called to the Woombye intersection of Nambour Connection Road and Cobbs Road at 8.30pm after a car and a motorcycle collided.

The rider of the motorcycle was taken to the Nambour Hospital with serious internal and lower limb injuries.

The occupants of the car were treated on scene for minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
