Motorcyclist airlifted to Toowoomba after serious crash

UPDATE: Two motorcyclists were taken to hospitals in Toowoomba and Dalby this afternoon following a serious highway crash west of Toowoomba.

A male patient in his 60s was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital with serious head lacerations, following the incident 50km west of Dalby on the Moonie Highway.

Another man in his 40s was taken by ambulance to Dalby Hospital, with chest injuries.

UPDATE 2.10pm: A male motorcyclist with serious head lacerations will be airlifted to hospital this afternoon following a two-vehicle crash west of Toowoomba.

The RACQ LifeFlight chopper has join paramedics and police at the scene of the crash, which featured two motorcycles on the Moonie Highway 50km west of Dalby.

The chopper has landed in a nearby field, meaning the highway is still open.

Another motorcyclist will be driven to hospital after suffering head injuries.

EARLIER 1.15pm: Two motorcyclists are being treated for moderate to serious injuries by paramedics after a two-vehicle crash west of Toowoomba this afternoon.

Paramedics are at the scene of the incident after they were called out to it on the Moonie Highway, 50km west of Dalby, just after noon.

One patient is believed to have suffered serious lacerations, while another has chest injuries.

Dalby Police are on their way to assist at the scene.
