Former Byron High girl to face Lismore court over murder

A FORMER Byron Bay High student who has been charged over her involvement in the 2014 murder of Michael Martin at Murwillumbah will face a hearing in the local court.

Jessica Honey Fallon did not appear via video-link from jail but was represented by solicitor Edwina Lloyd, who was acting as an agent for Michael Blair.

Fallon is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder and causing reckless grievous bodily harm in company over the partial decapitation murder of 46-year-old Mr Martin at a Quarry Rd address on July 13, 2014.

Ms Lloyd told the court Ms Fallon's matters were adjourned until today to meet up with those of her co-accused, Michael Martin Jr.

She asked for the court to set her matters down for hearing and requested a hearing date.

Magistrate David Heilpern asked how long the hearing would take.

Ms Lloyd said there were two witnesses and she estimated the hearing would take up to two hours.

Mr Heilpern adjourned Fallon's matters until September 22 at Lismore Local Court.

Ms Lloyd asked for Fallon to appear in person at court for the hearing.

Fallon will remain in custody until that date unless she applies for bail.
