Music and family makes his world go 'round
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Matthew McConaughey, because maybe he'll make out that I'm sort of better looking than I am.
You always want somebody pretty good looking to play you in a movie.
But he'd have to pull off the Aussie accent.
What do you think the greatest invention has been?
The guitar, for sure.
Do you have any lucky items, objects or traditions?
I'm not very superstitious, but there's a little cigarette holder that has been passed down through the generations and I just gave it to my teenage son.
My granddad made it when he was in New Guinea for World War II...he actually engraved it and gave it to his father as a gift and when his father passed away he handed it down.
I think that's just a special traditional thing in our family.
Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
I love mullets and I think they were sort of in fashion but they never really are. I'm going to say any '80s hairdo - big hair and mullets.
The sort of hair where you have to bend your head to get through doorways.
I think that was the greatest era of hairdos.
What three things do you think of most each day?
My family, music, and travelling.
What's been the best decision you've made in your life so far?
To have my kids.
What do you love most about where you live?
It's more about the people than where I live.
Because I travel so much it's more-so the people around me. It's not necessarily a place, but more the people around me.
What was your first car? (or what would you like it to be?)
As soon as I left school I bought, really cheaply, my grandma's Holden Camira. It was, no offence to grandma, but it was a piece of crap. But you get what you can get.
What do you consider is the most important appliance in a house?
The kettle - I like a coffee. I've got schools and kids to chase.
What historical period would you like to live in if you could go back in time?
It'd be cool to be an adult in the '80s because I was only a kid in the '80s.
To go back to another era, I think it'd have to be the '50s because of the change that happened and the history.
It was the birth of rock and roll. It was just a decade of change and it was the last decade of some really cool stuff.
