New grandstand a win for students
CONSTRUCTION of a new grandstand at Warra State School has been completed and students are looking forward to using it.
Built using money from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, the school opened the facility this week.
Principal Jordan Harrison said his students would benefit greatly from the construction.
"The primary purpose of the grandstand is to provide respite for the students during athletic pursuits,” he said.
"Situated at the perimeter of our oval, the grandstand invites the perfect view for carnivals and formal assemblies.
"Complementing the construction of our greenhouse and mansion chook pen, the grandstand is the largest upgrade of facilities for the school in recent times.”
Mr Harrison said the grandstand would enhances the experience of students.
"We as a schooling community are indebted to the great works of our P&C and the Warra community, whose tireless efforts make the education of our students so enriched and holistic,” he said.
