North Dalby Bowls hosts three-day event

BOWLS: North Dalby Bowls club welcomed bowlers from across the state to compete in their biggest carnival of the year on the weekend.

The annual November carnival was held over three days, with full days of bowls action.

The carnival is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the club ,and this year it proved to be another success for North Dalby.

President Garry Loy said the event was a success and he was pleased with the amount of vistory who came for the weekend.

"This was our major carnival of the year and it is one of our better fundraisers,” Loy said.

"We have had people come down from as far as Rockhampton to compete.

"This year we had over $5000 worth of prize money for the events.”

The club is now preparing for its next major event, the Come and Try day, held this Saturday.
