Not picnic weather, Bureau of Meteorology confirms wet week
OVER the weekend, the parts of the Western Downs received another much needed downpour of rain.
While Dalby received a small 6.4mm over the weekend, the Bureau of Meteorology confirmed this morning that the town will continue to see spurts of showers throughout the week.
“If any residents were planning on doing a few loads of washing or going on a picnic then I would reschedule it to next week,” meteorologist Livo Regano said.
“There will be isolated showers where those areas will see more rain than other places but residents can expect around 10mm everyday over the next few days.”
While many other areas around the Downs have experienced flooding over the weekend, Mr Regano wants to assure Dalby residents that water levels will remain the same.
“Dalby wont see any flooding like it has over the last month, but take each day as they come.”
Temperatures will remain at the high 20s throughout the week with cloudy conditions before clearing for the weekend.
With February wrapping up, Dalby has received a massive 139.9mm over the past 24 days, compared to last year’s 5.4mm.
The last time Dalby had received this much rain was back in 2017 with 224.8mm recorded.
