Oakey man charged with seriously assaulting person over 60

FOUR witnesses will give evidence to at the trial of an Oakey man accused of entering a premises to commit an indictable offence.

Ronald James Larfield faced Oakey Magistrates Court charged with the serious assault of a person over 60, and entering a premises to commit an indictable offence.

Represented by duty lawyer Joe McConnell, the court heard Larfield had received a brief of evidence for an upcoming jury trial of his enter premises offence.

Mr McConnell told the court Larfield’s serious assault offence would be a plea in due course.

Police prosecutor sergeant Derek Brady said there were four witnesses in relation to the enter premises charge, stating one of the witness’ availability would clash with Dalby’s next district court setting.

Magistrate Tracy Mossop adjourned the matter to Oakey Magistrates Courts to November 13 for a mention.
