Police ask residents to search yards for missing man, 81

POLICE are urging rural landholders and residents to search their backyards after an elderly man was reported missing.

Neil Perry, 81, was last seen on Bilton St in Tara about 4am today, and concerns are held for his welfare.

Mr Perry is described as Caucasian, about 170cm tall, with blue eyes and grey hair.

"Police are encouraging anyone in the local area to check their backyards and sheds," police said.
