Police catch teen troublemaker

DALBY Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy linked to a string of offences around town over the past few weeks.

The boy was apprehended and charged with 24 offences, including 13 break and enters, three charges of obstructing police, three charges of stealing, two assaults, one charge of public nuisance, one charge of being armed to cause fear and one charge of possessing a drug utensil.

The boy appeared in Dalby Children's Court this morning, where he acquired a further two obstructing police charges.

The 14-year-old allegedly spat on a police officer and kicked an officer in the leg whilst in the courtroom.

The boy has been remanded in custody and will appear in court again on Monday via video link from Brisbane.
