Police charge ten over Tara drug bust

TEN people have been charged after police found dangerous drugs and weapons following a bust in Tara.

Police from Tara and Meandarra worked with detectives from Dalby CIB to execute search warrants on May 9 and 10 and located ICE, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, weapons and ammunition.

Six men and two women from Tara aged between 20 and 55 are set to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 5 and 26 as well as a 43-year-old Weranga man.

A 43-year-old man from Weranga is alleged to have been in possession of cannabis and utensils used to smoke cannabis. He was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 26.

A 33-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of cannabis and utensils used to smoke cannabis. He was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 26

A 38-year-old woman from Tara is alleged to have produced dangerous drugs and been in possession of dangerous drugs. She was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 26.

A 43-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of drugs and utensils used to smoke drugs. He was eligible, and dealt with in accordance with Drug Diversion provisions.

A 20-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of drugs, utensils used to smoke drugs and explosives. He was dealt with in accordance with drug diversion provisions for the drugs and utensils and issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 5 charged with unlawful possession of explosives.

A 23-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of drugs and utensils used to smoke drugs. He was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 5.

A 52-year-old woman from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of cannabis and utensils used to smoke drugs. She was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 5.

A 55-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of dangerous drugs, cannabis seeds and utensils used to smoke drugs as well as things used in connection with dangerous drugs. He was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 5.

A 28-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of a small quantity amphetamines. He was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 26.

A 31-year-old man from Tara is alleged to have been in possession of amphetamines, items used in connection with dangerous drugs and allegedly supplying dangerous drugs. He was arrested and transported to Dalby watchhouse and held in custody awaiting court.

Police located further dangerous drugs, weapons and things used in connection with dangerous drugs and production of dangerous drugs and expect further charges to be laid as investigations continue.
