Police hunt brawlers after Good Samaritan injured

POLICE are searching for a number of people after a man suffered facial injuries trying to break up a street fight at the weekend.

The 19-year-old man was walking along Cunningham St in Dalby when, about 2am on Sunday, he came across a group of people fighting in the street.

Police said the man had been a good Samaritan and tried to break up the fight when a number of the people involved lashed out, striking him in the face.

Men and women were involved in the disturbance, police said.

The 19-year-old suffered a split lip and broken tooth in the incident.

CCTV footage from a number of cameras were seized and are being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigations.

Dalby police asked for any witnesses who may have seen the incident, or who may have been in the area at the time, to report the information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
