Poll predicts easy victory for Mike Baird in NSW election

LATEST Roy Morgan polling has found the Coalition on track for an "easy" victory at the NSW election, with 55.5% of participants backing the current government.

Premier Mike Baird is also ahead in the preferred leader stakes at 64%, although the margin has dropped 10% in the past month.

Roy Morgan Research chairman Gary Morgan said Mr Baird was set to end the Liberal Party's recent "run of outs" at the South Australia, Victoria and Queensland elections with a "comfortable win" in New South Wales.
