UPDATE: Police head west to locate dead man

Update, 1.46pm:

POLICE have so far been unable to locate the remains of Timothy Pullen, who was killed four years ago.

Detective Inspector Nikki Colfs said Mackay police had so far been unsuccessful in finding Mr Pullen's body, but were continuing the search and would be briefing her again later this afternoon.

She wouldn't confirm the location of the search, but said it was on a  private property "not in the township of Collinsville".

Initial:

POLICE are heading to a site west of Collinsville today where it's believed the body of Timothy Pullen was dumped about four years ago.

Yesterday two men, Zane Tray Lincoln (37) and Benjamin Francis Graeme Oakley (28) pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Pullen while two other men, Stephen Dale Renwick and Luke Shayne Kister, charged with being accessories are helping police today to locate the body.

Detective Inspector Nikki Colfs talked about the body recovery activities today.

Detective Inspector Nikki Colfs

"For legal reasons both (accused men) are going separately to the areas," Dect Insp Colfs said.

"In these conditions on their bail that was put today was actually made by the judge and it is very unusual and hopefully by the end of the day we will know more.

"At this particular time we don't know (where the site is) because they are taking police to a site."

Dect Insp Colfs said four years was a long time for Pullen to be missing and police might not find any remains.

More to come.
