Q and A with Matt McDonnell

THIS week's Dalby Herald Q&A is with the new branch manager of Master Hire Dalby, Matt McDonnell.

Matt and his young family live an active life and Matt is looking forward to the new challenge that lays ahead at Master Hire.

Here's an insight into the mind of Matt.

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

It would have to be Matt Damon, ever since seeing his performance in Good Will Hunting I have been a big fan!

What do you think the greatest invention has been?

Electricity! Without it our world as we know it would cease.

Do you have any lucky items, objects or traditions?

I'm not really superstitious in that regard but I am a firm believer in "what goes around, comes around”.

Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?

Rollers Desert Boots, I haven't seen them for years.

What three things do you think of most each day?

My wife Leah, and our two boys Isaac and Cooper would be the correct and most likely response.

I don't want to be sleeping on the couch tonight.

What's been the best decision you've made in your life so far?

Asking Leah out 28 years ago then asking her to marry me five years later.

If you could replace one body part with a super bionic replacement what body part and what features would the new bionic replacement have?

Wow, getting older and years of football and motorbikes is starting to take its toll on my body so there would a lot I'd like to replace.

But if I had to pick one it would have to be my eyes with the accuracy of an eagle.

What was your first car? (or what would you like it to be?)

A Datsun 180B.

What do you consider is the most important appliance in a house?

Without a doubt that would have to be the kettle.

What historical period would you like to live in if you could go back in time?

Australian 1950s.
