Rain relief will be temporary in Dalby, Taroom has 20mm
TODAY'S rain is likely the most Dalby will receive in the coming weeks.
Residents woke to light showers on Wednesday morning, but more rain is unlikely after the brief drop.
Michael Kneep, from the Bureau of Meteorology, said an uncertain weather system could lead to more rain next week.
"There is a possible weather system, but it is uncertain,” he said.
"There could be a higher chance of rain at the end of the weekend and into early next week.
"There is potential there (for rain), but it is too far out to tell.”
Dalby has received 5mm of rain, with only a heavy shower later in the day likely to bump that figure into double digits.
Across the Western Downs, Taroom has been the beneficiary of a nice downpour.
22mm has fallen in the last 24 hours, while Miles has also benefited with more than 10mm falling.
Rain in the region:
Dalby: 5mm
Miles: 11.8mm
Chinchilla: 8mm
