Rathman kicks six in Swans win over Lions

AUSSIE RULES: IT was deja vu for the Dalby Swans and Highfields Lions as they met for the second week in a row.

After securing a solid win last time out, the Swans looked to keep the momentum going into the fixture at Gold Park.

A tight first half gave the Swans a nine-point lead at the main break, but a 10-goal second half kicked the Dalby men away to a 15.6.96 to 7.6.48 victory.

Dalby's Liam Rathman backed up his eight-goal performance from last week, kicking six majors in the win.

The Swans had another six individual goal scorers with Kyle Hope, Jake Schreiber, and Max Gaur each kicking two goals.

Captain Brandon Peltz said it was a great team performance.

"We expected a tough game and they came out guns firing,” Peltz said.

"We had a big talk at half time and in the third quarter we really gave it to them.

"All across the board there was no weak link.”

Dalby have the bye this week before playing ladder leaders Warwick Redbacks.
