REVEALED: Dalby’s most bizarre drug busts

FROM hands down their pants to tupperware full of drug-infused nibbles sourced from eBay to hiding cannabis under rocks, Dalby has had its fair share of bizarre drug busts recently.

Here’s a full list of the weirdest ways Dalby locals have been busted with narcotics, that left even magistrates and police prosecutors shaking their heads.

DEMELZA Draper:

The courtroom were shocked when Sergeant Derek Brady told the court that Draper admitted to police that the baked goods found in the back her unregistered van contained cannabis.

JOHN Duncan William: Police prosecutor senior constable Jodie Tahana told Dalby Magistrates Court police followed a vehicle on January 5 at 1.30pm to a house where a man, Duncan, was standing on the front steps, shoving his hand down his pants.

CAMERON Paul Egan: Police intercepted the father to be on the streets of Dalby.

Police observed the 18-year-old to have dropped a small yellow vial which contained 2.3 grams of cannabis and half a gram of ice.

Police also found a knuckle duster on Egan which was for his ‘protection’.

TAI Hanson: The 38-year-old was intercepted by police on the Warrego Hwy on January 12 only to find $5000 of meth and utensils in the centre console and glove box of the stolen car.

ZOE Raquel Stephan: Police located 403 grams of dried marijuana which was separated into three glass jars along with growing materials, including drying rat plant, hydroponic lights and clip-seal bags.

Police also searched a property on Dalby-Cooyar Rd where they found nine mature cannabis plants growing from the ground, hidden by small rocks.
