Reward doubles in hunt for pensioner's attackers
COUNCIL added weight today to the search for those behind the attack on Bundamba pensioner Ron Jones.
Mr Jones was shot during a violent home invasion on November 20.
At yesterday's meeting, Council voted in favour of matching any reward given by Crime Stoppers that leads to the conviction of those involved in the attack.
Mayor Paul Pisasale described the attack as a "cowardly attack" and said elderly residents had to feel safe in their own homes.
