POLICE are investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash this afternoon that has left an Ipswich man with severe injuries.

The rider was travelling along Pine Mountain Rd at Pine Mountain about 3.20pm when he lost control and crashed through a fence.

Police say the 41-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and has been rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
