YOUR SAY: Government taking right step on cannabis laws

AT last it is here. 

The Queensland Government is allocating $3 million to fund a trial to allow terminally and seriously ill patients to be able to obtain medicinal cannabis legally after a change in the law by the Palaszczuk Government.

Health minister Cameron Dick said that under the amendments patients would now be able to get approval under the TGA special access scheme to get medicinal cannabis legally.

Before these changes cannabis products couldn't be accessed legally in Queensland, or used lawfully.

Those in severe suffering circumstances currently using medicinal cannabis will now be able to use it without breaking the law. This is welcome news for them, and a step in the right direction.
