Brisbane Roar set to put heat on Suwon

FOOTBALL: After arriving in Queensland on Sunday to acclimatise to the heat and humidity, last season's K-League runners-up Suwon Bluwings should not expect a warm welcome for their Asian Champions League clash against the Brisbane Roar tonight.

The A-League champions will be buoyed by their 1-0 win against Urawa Red Diamonds two weeks ago - the Roar's first victory in the competition in Japan.

The Roar showed it was in a goal-scoring mood by putting four past Sydney FC on Sunday, but coach Frans Thijssen would not have been happy with the five goals Sydney scored.

Suwon has split its two Champions League matches this campaign, beating Urawa 2-1 before losing to Beijing Guoan 1-0.

Also tonight, Asian champion Western Sydney faces FC Seoul in South Korea - the eighth game in 25 days for the battle-weary Wanderers who have opened their title defence with a win and a loss.
