Paddy Ryan, Matt Hodgson commit to Super Rugby franchises

THE Waratahs and Force have celebrated re-signings, with New South Wales prop Paddy Ryan and back-rower Matt Hodgson re-committing to their respective franchises.

Ryan, 26, signed on for the 2016 season, while 11-Test Wallaby Hodgson, 33, also put pen to paper for next year and received the option of playing on in 2017.

"The club has changed a lot during my time here and I am pleased that my role in helping build a legacy will continue," he said.

Sidelined with a hamstring injury, Hodgson is the most-capped player in the Force's history (113).

"I started at the club in 2005 and I still don't feel like I've achieved what I've set out to do," he said. "That is to win through the second-half of the competition and play finals rugby."

Hodgson said he was excited by the prospect of remaining a one-club player.
