Sam Frost named first Australian Bachelorette

SAM Frost will take another crack at reality TV love.

The winner of the second season of Channel 10's reality dating show The Bachelor has been named as the star of the new spin-off The Bachelorette.

Frost was at the centre of a media storm last year after Bachelor Blake Garvey proposed to her in the show's grand final, only to break off the engagement two months later before the episode had aired.

"Australia was captivated by Sam in last year's season of The Bachelor Australia and we are delighted to welcome her back for our very first The Bachelorette," Channel 10's Chief Programming Officer Beverley McGarvey.

"It will be fascinating to watch as the tables are turned and the most eligible bachelors in Australia compete to win Sam's heart. We cannot wait to bring Australians all the love, drama, fun and romance of The Bachelorette."

The Victorian beauty has been previously linked to Sydney Swans footballer Dane Rampe, but it appears she's single once again.

Frost will appear on The Project tonight.
