School pride and performing prowess on show

IT HAS been a busy year for the talented students at Dalby State School.

From eisteddfods to the Choral Fanfare, the school’s finest musicians have immersed themselves in some of the region’s best performing opportunities.

But the action isn’t over just yet.

Students are in the final stages of preparing their musical, The Lion King Jr, which is set to showcase some of the outstanding talent the school has to offer.

“Everyone loves The Lion King,” school principal Mona Anau said.

“In primary school they enjoy musicals and they just want to be a part of it.’’

Ms Anau said many of the students in the musical were a part of the school’s music excellence program, but with such a large cast and ensemble the musical allowed many other talented students to take part.

“With our children, they’re very resilient,”she said.

“They definitely know how to work as a team but they’re also very committed.”

The Lion King Jr will open on October 25. Book tickets at www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=551098.
