Sergeant accused of throwing stapler at prisoner
A POLICE officer has fronted Brisbane Magistrates Court after being charged with allegedly assaulting a prisoner.
Sergeant John Lloyd-Jones, 51, was charged on December 4, 2015 with assault causing bodily harm whilst armed following a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation.
He is accused of throwing a stapler at the male prisoner in the Richlands Watchhouse on August 9, 2015.
The stapler hit the man in the side of the head and he also sustained an injury to his jaw.
The matter was adjourned until February 16.
